Kasey Thinking He is Simba!

We watched Lion King last night on TV.

And Kasey seemed to be fascinated by Zazu... 

And the funny thing is, Kasey rarely pays any attention to the TV or what's on it... 

I can't believe I was lucky enough to get this shot! 

It looks like Zazu is scolding Kasey instead of Simba!

Happy 1st Birthday, Kasey!!!

My very special pup, turns 1 today!

Kasey came into our lives unplanned and he was in such bad shape when Ananke and I decided to try and save him... He was abused, hungry and scared of everything, especially people!

Today, he is still very untrusting of strangers and doesn't really want too much attention from people (besides me), but he has accomplished so much of his anxieties and fears and is an amazing dog!

75 lbs of energy, spunk and EARS! 

I am so glad Ananke and I were able to step up and help 

show him that life doesn't have to be so bad!!!

Just a little illo I did for fun today! 

Sad News...

A week ago today, I lost my dad in a tragic ATV accident...
My mother, sister and I along with the rest of my family pulled together with strength and laughter and many tears to celebrate his life, remember the many memories and to say our final goodbyes...

I learned something that left me in AWE...

My dad, Marc, left his mark on so many people... The funeral home hosted hundreds of people coming to give their thoughts and prayers and to offer support to all of us.

There are good times and bad times in life. I believe now, more than I did before, that what matters most is that we use our strengths, our talents to enrich the lives of others and in the end, when we depart, that contribution to the world will be recognized by more than we could have ever imagined!

I love you dad. And will do my best to leave a mark as big as the one you did!
